VGA Hip Hop Festival

VGA Hip Hop is a multidisciplinary festival that has been held in Vilagarcía de Arousa (Pontevedra, Galicia) for three years. It incorporates many diverse artistic disciplines proper to the contemporary urban movements such as rap music, graffiti, street art, break-dance, turntablism, skate, bmx, etc.. It is considered as one of the most important festivals of its kind in Galicia and it is also a referent of the genre in the North-Western Iberian Peninsula.
To create the image of the festival we used an urban and modern style, close to the “street art” aesthetics that reminds of the style and plastic finish of stencils. We built up a centred composition that gives relevance to simplicity and in which the information is clearly shown, in this way, emphasizing the sections announcing the concerts. We designed a convincing headline with the name of the festival that graphically summarizes the contents of the event and also identifies it. We also considered to use the headline as a common feature for the other applications of the campaign.
